I had the pleasant opportunity of speaking with Dr Susan Walker, an associate professor at Anglia Ruskin University who specialises in contraception behaviour.
Dr Susan Walker helped me gather some medical background information about the female hormonal contraception, specifically the pill, the hormonal IUD and the implant. During our discussion we tackled the topic of social media and impact it can have on influencing women about their contraceptive methods decisions.
During the interview, I asked Dr Walker how we can educate men better about the side effects that their female partners, colleagues and family members may have to experience. Here is an audio clip with her opinion on this subject.
You can read more about the interview in my upcoming feature where I investigate the fear that women might face towards hormonal contraception.
