I had the privilege of speaking with Dani Conlon who is a community leader at The Lowdown. Dani is 26 years old and spends a lot of her time speaking to members of the community about women's health and how their platform, The Lowdown, can help them.
I never knew about The Lowdown until recently, so I was happy to get in contact with Dani and have her explain what they do, how they support women, what topics they cover and why it is helpful for women to know about their platform.
During the interview we also discussed the support medical professionals provide women about contraception, but also how the support system could be improved.
Dani was happy to open up and share her personal experience on the implant and how it has affected her body and mental health.
You can find out more about The Lowdown in an upcomign blog and my feature which is coming out soon, where you can also read abotu Danis experience on hormonal contraception.
